Hedel - Next week the first pomelos from China will arrive at De Groot International, Holland. It will mainly be honey pomelos which are imported. This is one of the biggest and sweetest varieties. It gets it's name from the subtle honey taste. The diameter varies from 10 to 30 cm.



The honey pomelos at De Groot International are available in sizes 8/9/10/11/12 and come in open top boxes of 12 kg. There will be weekly deliveries from China until the end of January. De Groot also have Vietnamese pomelos available of the Pink and White varieties which are available the whole year through.

Just like most citrus fruits, the pomelo contains a high vitamin C content. Fresh pomelos contain 30-40 mg vitamin C per 100 gram. Just a small piece of this fruit satisfies the recommended daily amount of vitamin C. Pomelo also lowers the blood pressure, eases sore throats and helps against colds. With these benefits it seems to be the ideal product to fight against the Mexican flu.
