27 abril 2009 - DGI and Alexport sign declaration of intent

De Groot International and Alexport have announced that both companies have signed a declaration of intent in order for De Groot International to acquire a majority share in the Dutch Alexport BV (www.alexport.nl). The parties have been talking during a considerable period of time and expect to complete the negotiations within a small time span. Alexport is property of founder Alexander Visser. After the acquisition the management of Alexport will preserve a substantial minority share. Alexport is an importer and exporter of fruits and vegetables.

The proposed transaction is part of the growth strategy of De Groot International to strengthen its position in the fruits and vegetables sector. Ben de Groot: “Through this acquisition strengthens De Groot International her position in Eastern Europe and expands the company its position in the export area.” Alexport its current successful strategy will be continued.

All parties involved have decided not to communicate any further details following
